The Flaxbourne Motel is situated in the peaceful rural setting
of Ward. We are an hours drive north of Kaikoura and 1 hour from the Picton ferry
terminals making this a perfect stop to break up your trip or just visit this beautiful area.
We are not a pet Friendly Motel.
Our rooms are all ground floor so easily accessible and face onto the garden. Our camping ground has powered and non-powered sites with spacious comfortable facilities.
Take a walk along our local beach and see the boulders which have appeared since the rising of the seabed during the 2016 earthquake or visit the Flaxbourne café for a cooked breakfast or afternoon tea.
